A few weeks ago I travelled down to East Sussex to pay a visit to Maynards fruit farm, where I met up with James Lowe, head chef at one of my favourite restaurants, the Michelin-starred Lyle’s in Shoreditch. Remarkably, James visits Maynards in person every single week to select and pick fruit for his restaurant. James gave me a guided tour of the farm and created a delicious dessert using the ingredients we’d picked.
